Middlecreek Golf Course is a beautiful 9 hole track nestled within the Laurel Highlands, of Southwestern Pennsylvania. The course got its beginnings when Chuck Wilcox and a group of friends created Middlecreek Golf Course on Chuck’s family farm in 1962. Previously the land the golf course now occupies supplied peas and carrots, to the local, now closed Somerset Cannery. With the Cannery closed, Chuck decided to make use of the land in a new way, a way that would allow many to enjoy the land for years to come. Chuck eventually bought out his friends in 1986 to become Middlecreek’s sole proprietor.
Over the years, with the help of current head green’s keeper Larry Sanner, Middlecreek became known for its lush tee boxes and greens. In 2008, Middlecreek starts a new chapter in its history with the announcement of a new management team. We are proud to announce that Larry has agreed to become the Middlecreek’s General Manager. Larry will oversee a great number of exciting changes at Middlecreek which is all an effort to enhance the golf experience of high and low handicappers alike. In addition, future improvements will be made to the grounds to include our non-golfer friends and family!
Middlecreek, is centrally located to some of the Laurel Highland’s most popular attractions, including Seven Springs Resort (11.6 Miles), Hidden Valley Resort (14.2 miles), Frank Lloyd Wright’s word renown masterpiece, Fallingwater (21.7 miles), and Ohiopyle State Park (18.9 miles).
Middlecreek boasts beautiful views, and a relatively flat course that can easily be walked by young and young spirited alike. It’s challenging, yet fair layout will challenge you to use all your skill to score well. We look forward to see on the course this year! Visit our new site often for updates and a look of things to come!
